GOODY 1976 • Bar Deli Restaurant is a restaurant /bar on the corner of the busy street with indoor and outdoor seating. It is located to a number of key historic buildings in Rome and in the busy area. The atmosphere / decor is modern. The food is relatively standard, below average tasting (which is disappointing in Italy), and may not be handled well (we had some health issues after eating a salad). The service is pleasant but average. The bathroom needs attention.
Great italian food different from touristic menus. Delicious desserts. Great atmosphere with almost no tourists.
Not a bad place to stop in. The little food we had alright but nothing special. The staff were not super pleasant but I don’t want to judge just based on one experience. This seemed to be one of the few decent places around to stop into. I had a (Bombita) La Bomba which is a little doughnut filled with a heavy cream filling, it was good but a bit to heavy for me. We also had a croissant filled with zucchini and fior di latte (which was alright) - the coffee was good
Big plus for a choice of gins. We love them. As a starter we decided to take a cheese with oregano and some tortilla chips. We were a bit surprised by the quantity of chips! The rest really good! Fresh olives and gins with tonics. Good aperitifs. 2 drinks and a cheese - 33e. Not so cheap.
Food-1st night in Italy and we stopped at Goody’s. Decided on fish and chips. Ended up with food poisoning. Finally able to keep food down 3 days later. Entire visit to Italy was spent in restroom of hotel.
Atmosphere-People smoked right in front of the door while we were eating outside so of course smoke came our way. We should have eaten inside.
Service-Our waitress spent more time smoking with her friends than tending to tables. Luckily the other waiter came back from break to help us. Would NOT recommend this place.
The food is delicious, the restaurant is beautiful. The location is in the heart of Rome, and the owner is an absolute gentleman! The service is the best. I will be going back next time I’m in Rome.
